Mid-week Bake!

Mid-week Bake!

Been excited all week for this post. I have been mums best Banana cake for ages so when I asked her to make it she said she would teach me. So I have decided to share it with you!

What better way to use up those bruised, brown bananas that nobody will eat, than with a yummy cake that everyone will enjoy!

Ingredients:
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 2 Bananas
  • 5oz Self-Raising Flour
  • 2oz Soft butter
  • 5oz Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of Vanilla Essence
  • 1/4 tsp of Salt
  • Crushed Walnuts (Optional)

Method:
  1. Heat oven to Gas mark 4. Take your cake tin and grease/line the tin then leave it to one side for later on.
  2. Remove the bananas from the peel and then mash together in the bowl. Then add the Egg, Sugar, Softened Butter, Vanilla Essence and salt and mix together until smooth.

      3. Next sift the flour into the bowl and mix with the other mixture. (Stir in the walnut pieces now if you're using them.)
      4. Now pour the mixture into your previously greased tin. Put them into the oven to bake for 45- 60mins.

      5. When baked remove from the tin and leave to cool.
      6. ENJOY!!

I hope you've enjoyed this quick recipe and get the chance to try it out and enjoy!

Hope you have a fab week!
